Wrap up warm with Etre this Winter

Guy Fawkes night is almost here, so it’s time to wrap up and get the sparklers ready.  This year, make sure you look good when standing around the Bon Fires with Etre’s new Autumn / Winter 2012 collection which draws on the understated but characterful traditions of British workwear.

The collection includes traditional fishermen’s sweaters, knitted to a pattern familiar to generations of fishermen’s wives and customised with motifs originating in the centuries-old fishing communities of Polperro and Staithes, alongside the innovative Etre Touchy and FIVEPOINT gloves conceived specifically for use with mobile devices.

Each piece is lovingly crafted in the British Isles, using responsibly sourced, time-honoured British materials. Leather gloves are made by a family business established in 1944, now one of the last surviving British glove manufacturers. Satchels and holdalls, crafted from the same high quality Melton wool as the jackets, are fabricated by a small Cornish leatherwork company.

Timeless and durable, it is British workwear for a new generation.

Welcome to Maketh The Man, a lifestyle and travel blog by Callum Watt and Anton Welcome.

Maketh The Man launched in 2010 as a home to showcase male jewellery. From the best chunky necklaces to our favourite signet rings. Whilst the Mark Twain quote does say "Clothes maketh the man", we actually think its the finer details that make an outfit really pop. Hence why we decided to focus our attention on how to accessorize your wardrobe.

We quickly expanded our coverage to include all accessories from the best footwear, to the most stylish bags and pocket squares.

Today Maketh The Man has grown to be one of the UKs top male lifestyle blogs covering a range of different categories. From the greatest holiday destinations to the tastiest cocktail or finest whisky recommendations, with a healthy dose of technology and grooming thrown in.
