The best accessory at London 2012 Opening Ceremony was a tulip

Have you seen the Spanish Olympic outfits that were worn to the Opening Ceremony? I know, dont laugh! Well there has been much chat about the best Opening Ceremony outfit since London 2012 kicked off with much razzmatazz, and all spear headed by our very own Danny Boyle, BUT what about the best accessories?

We have scanned over many images, and have highlighted our favorite outfits above. Of course special mention goes to Team GB and thier pocket square detail from Stella McCartney, classic British style in a nut shell.
Across all the other countries on display there was one accessory that stood out loud and proud, in the form of a hat. Everything from turban’s, flat caps, berets and even fedoras could be seen adorning the most dashing athlete.   But our award for the best accessory goes to the Netherlands with their fresh tulips pin. A very dutch accessory indeed, and one that could’ve gone so wrong (fresh flowers wilting is not a good look) but just sets off the whole teams look with style and charm.  Tip of the hat to you Netherlands.

Welcome to Maketh The Man, a lifestyle and travel blog by Callum Watt and Anton Welcome.

Maketh The Man launched in 2010 as a home to showcase male jewellery. From the best chunky necklaces to our favourite signet rings. Whilst the Mark Twain quote does say "Clothes maketh the man", we actually think its the finer details that make an outfit really pop. Hence why we decided to focus our attention on how to accessorize your wardrobe.

We quickly expanded our coverage to include all accessories from the best footwear, to the most stylish bags and pocket squares.

Today Maketh The Man has grown to be one of the UKs top male lifestyle blogs covering a range of different categories. From the greatest holiday destinations to the tastiest cocktail or finest whisky recommendations, with a healthy dose of technology and grooming thrown in.
