Tie a proper knot, so you can untie it slowly

Growing up has been a challenge.  Over the past few years I have seen some of my childhood favourite high street stores close before my very eyes.  I mean, what kind of world do we live in when a nations most loved retailer Woolworths has to shut its doors?  Well I for one was sad to see it go, but whilst I enjoy my pick n mix from other shops now, I am glad to see there are some other stores reinventing themselves and standing strong.  Tie Rack has seen some changes over the years, but with the launch of its Black Label Collection it re-established its name as an accessory big hitter.

Now it is growing from strength to strength and it’s new collection includes a selection of dapper trilbys, pure silk handkerchiefs, jaunty bow ties, along with luxurious leather gloves and leather accessories. Soon to hit the stores, it will make any winter wardrobe stand out.
However, a visit to the nearest Tie Rack is a must.  There you can pick up a very handy booklet about how to tie, well just about any tie (my picks below). From the classic Windsor, to the skinny knot, cravat and my personal favourite the bow tie. It is a must have read for any guy, as wearing the full monty is always a better choice than a self tied. Just ask any woman, or any man when their loved one is starring them in the eyes whilst they untie that knot.

Welcome to Maketh The Man, a lifestyle and travel blog by Callum Watt and Anton Welcome.

Maketh The Man launched in 2010 as a home to showcase male jewellery. From the best chunky necklaces to our favourite signet rings. Whilst the Mark Twain quote does say "Clothes maketh the man", we actually think its the finer details that make an outfit really pop. Hence why we decided to focus our attention on how to accessorize your wardrobe.

We quickly expanded our coverage to include all accessories from the best footwear, to the most stylish bags and pocket squares.

Today Maketh The Man has grown to be one of the UKs top male lifestyle blogs covering a range of different categories. From the greatest holiday destinations to the tastiest cocktail or finest whisky recommendations, with a healthy dose of technology and grooming thrown in.
