London Collections: Men – The accessory floor

Now that London Collections: Men has finished in London, I wanted to bring you some of the highlights of the exhibition space and the WHOLE FLOOR, yes, whole floor dedicated to men’s accessories.

We kick off with Marwood, and the design genius behind it, Becky French.  Continuing her support for LCM with her second season as well, Becky was there to showcase Marwood’s current and new collection of ties, bow ties, scarfs and pocket squares.  Every element of the brand tells a heritage story, with each piece being designed in Britain by British craftsmen using traditional English lace.

Next up we have Alice Walsh, from Alice Made This. I actually met Alice a couple of years ago in Shoreditch exhibition (her first!) and it is great to see her brand go from strength to strength. She produces exquisite cufflinks using brass, copper, gold, steel and now within her new collection ceramic and rope.

Every cufflink is limited edition and produced in small batches.  A lovely touch, just for you.

Now we move to on to the area that a gentleman should always accessorise first and foremost, his feet.  There were a number of shoe brands on show within the accessory floor but special mention must go to Dr. Marten for their snake skin boots and their rather spiffing tartan brogues and boots (one of my favorite items at LCM).

And finally, I introduce London Undercover by Jamie Milestone.  Jamie is single handily bringing brollies back into the fashion mainstream and away from the market stalls.  A great design concept and I think it is due it’s own post to highlight some of the great designs (watch this space).

Oh and I met David Gandy again at one of the shows.
And here are some random but great accessory shots to finish off this post.

Welcome to Maketh The Man, a lifestyle and travel blog by Callum Watt and Anton Welcome.

Maketh The Man launched in 2010 as a home to showcase male jewellery. From the best chunky necklaces to our favourite signet rings. Whilst the Mark Twain quote does say "Clothes maketh the man", we actually think its the finer details that make an outfit really pop. Hence why we decided to focus our attention on how to accessorize your wardrobe.

We quickly expanded our coverage to include all accessories from the best footwear, to the most stylish bags and pocket squares.

Today Maketh The Man has grown to be one of the UKs top male lifestyle blogs covering a range of different categories. From the greatest holiday destinations to the tastiest cocktail or finest whisky recommendations, with a healthy dose of technology and grooming thrown in.
