A waterfall of wonder at Rogie Falls in the Highlands of Scotland

Rogie Falls Scotland

Whilst visiting my motherland and on a beautiful drive to Ullapool I came across a small opening on the main road and a large sign post with an arrow directing to ‘Rogie Falls‘. Unsure what exactly this was, I was drawn to pull into the car park.

The signage in the car park shows three paths ranging in difficulty and length with all leading to a majestic roaring waterfall.  Excited by the prospect of seeing this, I headed off down the woodland path.  Almost immediately you stopped hearing the noise from the nearby traffic and started to hear the roaring waterfall.  The path lead to a viewpoint onto the falls, with a suspension hanging above it.  Up for the challenge I made my way around the embankment and on to the bridge.  A beautiful sight to see, standing on the bridge whilst watching the natural beauty of the waterfall crash against the rocks below me.  Anyone visiting the Highlands of Scotland and looking for a tranquil place to gather their thoughts, should head to Rogie Falls, stand on that bridge and let nature do the rest.
